2214 Sofa

This firm upholstered sofa was designed in 1946. The distinctive, sculptural bowl shape with arms and backrest of uniform height was inspired by Børge Mogensen's own spoke-back sofa. Designed in 1945 for the autumn exhibition of the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild, it later enjoyed widespread popularity. Further refinement produced the timeless appearance and clearly defined stringency of the sofa. Comes in leather and fabric.
