7511 (chair) and 7512 (chair with armrest)
The chairs were originally designed for the desk (7624) that Rud Thygesen and Johnny Sørensen added to the King's Furniture series in 1981. Introduced in 1969, the series is now a true classic of Danish design history. It takes its name from the furniture presented to the Danish King Frederik IX on the occasion of his 70th birthday in 1970. With their meticulous workmanship and the graceful curve of their woven backs, the chairs are a natural complement to the original pieces. |
